  • pictures like this break my heart. one more image conveys the devistating effects of this war. i don’t know at this point what could ever tip the scales to the good. probably nothing ever will for this man.

  • I agree. I was going to post a more graphic picture of an injured soldier because our media has been shamefully absent in showing the real price of war. I have looked at hundreds of pictures of wounded civilians and soldiers and it breaks my heart to think there are many Americans who only give lip service to the sacrifice these young men and women are making.

Once you have seen the carnage up close, you are changed.

The American public’s delicate sensibility can not stand to look at the result of unbridled war mongering that most cheered for.

I may start posting pictures of the wounded, physically and mentally to, at least, show what is going on in our name.

  • It is mind-boggling to think that we were lied into this mess by GW Bush and anyone at all still defends what he has done.

  • i have mixed feelings on posting pictures at all. what do we do when we aren’t getting the real story from ‘the’ media, ‘the’ government, etc? is it exploiting the soldiers for our own selfish reason if we use photos of them to make our point? i just don’t know how it effects the soldier who knows that his or her photo is being splashed around the internet. i’m not sure if it is good or bad in the long run. i just don’t know how else we bring our experiences to the public so that they understand more than what the effing whitehouse wants us to.

  • I think a big part of why the public turned so vehemently against the Vietnam conflict (war) was the images they saw on their televisions during the nightly news.

    Different time, different media.

Bush keeps talking about how “hard” it is for “murcans” to support the war when they see the mayhem on their “tv screens”. I just want to know where this is happening? It sure isn’t a focal piece of any of the mainstream media outlets. It is treated more as an aside…

In tonights news, some big tit drug addicted whore died of an obvious drug overdose and we will spend the next 22 minutes disecting every detail, no matter how trivial or unimportant and, oh yeah, 9 soldiers were killed in Iraq today. Now a word from our editors, uh, I mean sponsors.

  • God, help our soldiers, and punish Bush and Cheney for what they got us into. Let them know the pain they have caused for thousands of Americans.

  • I say the us army should not agree on that man (Bush) stupid plan , its only causing us all (arabs & americans) more lives that we can spare, i thing the army shouldnt be there at the first place , your fighting us in our country !!!! and expecting no respond ???? doesnt make any sense does it ??!!
i feel sad for all the lifes taken from all the human rase side , on my land …..
i will never forgive that peg you call a president , why doesnt he sent his own girls to us, or nooo wait maybe there not a war material , !!!
i acnt understand how do you buy those stupid adds on how cool going to iraq is , and you acctually accept going and dieing !!!! its not us to blame its you,
why did you come to us any way ???? coz of the oil right, bush is taking the hole benefits and his ppl DIE !!!!

ohh my god ! how do ppl accept this ???

  • What is even worse, is that people either think that we should “stay the course’ or “Cut and run” each one of those strategies is anathema to the other and neither of them addresses the basic problem of internal strife, intersectarian violence and civil war.

I have been trying yo talk up the notion of SERIOUSLY EXPLORING THE POSSIBILITY OF PARTITION which to me is etiological (pertaining to the cause) and potentially curative.

If partition is successful this should satisfy both extremes.

To the “Stay the course” crowd it could have GW Bush coming out of Iraq smelling like a rose for having deposed Saddam.

To the “Cut and run crowd” it could get us out of Iraq avoiding the real possibilities that are possible.

It is amazing how much can be accomplished if you don’t care who gets the credit !!

  • 9 isn’t a big number if you compare it with 1 million people have been killed in iraq up to now. me too very sorry for the soldiers but much more than that what about the innocent people children? who is to be blamed for all these victims? Sorry but to change the idea of american people about the war how many more troops must be killed? I’ve lost my sense of humor and every humany feelings after the gulf war. now i hate american policy. sorry but they are disliked almost every nation maybe except jews. I think Bush has started the falling motion of U.S. No one can bring all those killed people except God. I think bush is in a great bush of shit for the afterlife. this blood will choke him too with many others. most people blame Germans for supporting Hitler. should we too blame the americans for their support for the piece of shit anyway Im sorry my offensive words. but that is how I feel about it. please show people much more how the war make them sad.

  • The majority of Americans don’t support this war or this president. I never have. There are many like me who feel powerless to change our government for the better. Our voices are ignored and shouted down by the right wingers in this country. It seems the public is changing attitudes (finally) about the worst president this country has ever had…but still we do nothing.

    Sorry about that.

  • I feel so happy when I see American soldiers are injured and cried because they worth their sadness

  • Well Maria, you certainly identify with the Liberals that do not support this war or the troops. How can you be happy when you see American soldiers are injured? Please do not ever try to insult our intelligence by saying that you support the soldiers and marines in Iraq. It is so obvious that you support those that are killing them. As an ex-Marine, thanks for nothing.

  • This shows how hard it is to be in Iraq and that we should leave. My heart is with the soldiers of America! Come home safe! Bush is such a jerkoff… Can’t wait till he gets out!

  • William thank you for your service, I too serviced in the Armed Forces, Army 10years, but had to get out on a medical bad knees. For those that complain about the war, I understand but I say this to you support our troops they do what are told because they believe it is their duty, bagger and put down the Pres. all you want, but do not blame the soldiers. Maria also as an ex-Army Sergeant, thanks for nothing, oh, and if you live in the United States, your welcome, for the freedom you live!!!

  • We are always fighting other peoples wars when we cant even fix whats wrong with our country. I hope they bring our soldiers home. Alot of moms and dads Wives, Husbands, sons and daughters need them home. The hardest thing to do is not being bale to say goodbye to a loved one. May the god and goddess watch over our sons and daughters, Husbands and wives who are fighting this neverending war.

  • when im looking at this picture I want to cry, I wish to everybody to return home
